Volunteer Swift Survey

Training events in Ballinasloe, Oranmore and Tuam

Here is some information on an excellent citizen science project coming up in County Galway. Our Swift population is in decline and Swift Conservation Ireland are hoping that the people of County Galway will get involved in finding and recording swift nests so that we can help protect them.

Swift nests are actually a little tricky to spot for the uninitiated so SCI are holding three training events around the county next week to show volunteers how to identify and record them.
They are :
BALLINASLOE : 13 JUNE 2017 at 8.30pm in the Library
ORANMORE : 15 JUNE 2916 at 8.30pm in the Library
TUAM : 16 JUNE 2017 at 8.30pm in the Library
