National Biodiversity Week May 19th- 27th is an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy our rich natural heritage. The theme of the 2018 Biodiversity Week is ‘connecting people and nature’. There are many events throughout Ireland for people to enjoy http://biodiversityweek.ie/. In County Galway there will be a nature walk in Woodlawn Woods, Woodlawn (meeting in the car park across from the train station) on Saturday May 19th at 1030am. There will also be woodland wander on Knockma near Tuam on Wednesday May 23rd at 630pm (meeting in the car park). Everyone is welcome to attend these events. There will also be pollinator and aquatic biodiversity workshops running in schools.
