A workshop on invasive species focusing on practical things you can do will be held in the Claregalway Hotel on Thursday May 23rd 10am-3pm. This free workshop is open to all (book on Eventbrite) and should be of particular interest to local authority staff, Tidy Towns and other community groups, farmers, landowners, anglers, community scheme workers etc. Leading experts on invasive species in Ireland including Joe Caffrey, Frances Lucy and Peter Gill will be speaking on practical solutions to the problem of invasive species. There will be an advice clinic after lunch and the speakers will be available for questions. The workshop is being organised by the Invasive Species Working Group in Galway County Council.
